I answered an ad for it and the person who was renting it was a property manager! Two months after I moved in with all my stuff, I got papers in the mail saying that "someone complained". Apparently, you can stay in an illegal suite in BC UNLESS someone complains about it! There are thousands of these suites in BC and it not only helps you with a place to live, it also helps the owner of the home who has to pay the mortgage. With SO many people homeless, this is crazy!
